Fire and Rescue Protection
Chardon Township has a contract with the Chardon Volunteer Fire Department for fire and rescue service.
Mutual aid is available from other townships when needed.
It is helpful to the fire department and paramedics when the address is visibly displayed at the street.
The fire department has a program where high visibility signs with your street number can be purchased from the fire department for a fee.
Police Protection
The Geauga County Sheriffs Office provides road patrol and investigates suspicious persons and any criminal activity in the Township.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates all accidents and provides road patrol mainly on state and county Roads.
